About the Peter J. Salmon Award

The National Industries for the Blind (NIB) established the award in 1968. NIB named it after the late Dr. Peter J. Salmon. He was one of the nation’s outstanding advocates for people who are blind. Salmon was instrumental in the passage of the original legislation that created the AbilityOne Program.

As ABVI’s Peter J. Salmon Employee of the Year, MCguire will go with Hopf to the NIB National Conference. He is in the running for the national award.
